Giant lilies identified - maybe

Thanks to Janet in Scotland, the Giant lilies have probably been identified as Crinum powelli.

And the wonderful thing is, once you have a name you can immediately go looking for them. And I have found this wonderful site that specialises in the Amaryllids at Barnawatha, near Wodonga in Victoria.

Caliodore - I think it is probably midway between you and me - maybe if we meet there for morning tea? Actually, Sweet Alice, it is probably about the same distance for you??? Maybe we can do lunch???

Sounds good to me. I have saved the site in favourites and shall go back for a good browse when there are no interruptions. Well only a few interruptions...lol.

I'm game for lunch anytime, anywhere. We may jest, but I'm sure we could make it happen one day.

Now that you've put a counter on your blog site I'll feel a bit embarrassed about accessing the site so often. I'm sure at least half of them must be mine as I seem to check the sites at least four times a day. Yes, I know, I obviously don't have enough to do -I do actually, but I just like seeing what like-minded people are up to.
