Yellow in the Garden
Here is just a photo for today
I don't usually like yellow in my garden (but not as much as I dislike orange!). But this chair is an exception. I cannot remember where I got it from, but it sits outside my garden shed and really brightens up a dark spot.
Then again - maybe I do like some yellows - daffodils are very high up there in my favourite flowers.

That is certainly a chair to brighten your day. I read years ago that yellow flowers in a garden were more noticeable than any other colour. I found that to be true, but sometimes they are a bit too noticeable. I agree with you that orange is a very jarring colour and almost impossible to put with anything else. I have to say that I love the clear lemony-yellow of Evening Primrose even though the plant is a pest. I did have plans to make the front garden all white, blue/mauve, yellow and a little pink, but somehow a few other things crept in and "Oh well, what the heck!" I must say a few Calendula can brighten up a dark corner.
I did have the common evening primrose until I worked on eliminating it, but I do have another one, which is less invasive, tends to be a bit more straggly, but is just as nice. Not in flower at the minute though. I was told it was the true evening primrose, not the weed.
