Soot in the Bird Bath, Sunday Morning
I was in Cockatoo in 1983, working over Easter clearing blocks with a team of young people. What we all remember is the Belladonnas coming up through the wreckage, bright splotches of pink in the black. My first Belladonna for this year came up Monday morning.
We are all fine, and at varying distances from varying fires.
This blog will resume some time soon.

It is so tragic, isn't it! I'm struggling to watch the news at the moment without getting all choked up. The stories of sadness, bravery, mateship and generosity just prove how fragile we all are.
Your birdbath says it all. Hope you stay well Chloe.
Thinking of you all from Canberra.
I am so sorry. They sound like such a nice family. May Geoffrey's memory stay green and growing in your heart.
